After just one week, it’s working out great🥳—I’m just focusing on remembering to do the exercises, and I can already feel it getting better🥳 day by day
Don’t overthink it
Go ahead and book an appointment
Best regards,
Jens Vorbasse
I highly recommend him.
After countless visits to various physical therapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists, I decided to try Sportsværkstedet to get rid of my back pain. After just ONE hour of treatment from Mikkel, most of my pain disappeared, and two days later I was more or less pain-free. This is something I haven’t experienced in a loooong time—and something that various other therapists haven’t even come close to achieving.
The treatment I received from Mikkel is the best investment I’ve made in a long time.
I highly recommend Mikkel to others.
Best regards, Darija
I’ve seen a physical therapist, a chiropractor, and a massage therapist on several occasions, but nothing really helped.
We had a good chat about my problem, and Mikkel got started on the treatment.
I broke a sweat, and a few choice words slipped out of my mouth 😅—it was a tough but good session.
Mikkel showed me some exercises I should keep doing going forward; even while I was still at Mikkel’s, my pain was practically gone. My muscles were sore from getting a thorough workout, but the pain I’d come in with was gone.
I can only give Mikkel my highest recommendations.
Sincerely,
Anni.
Since 2014, I’ve had back/lower back pain that radiates down my right leg. I usually have to take very strong painkillers for at least 14 days, but I end up limping around. I promised myself that the next time I had an “attack,” I’d visit Sportsværkstedet, because it sounded almost too good to be true… Then on 2/24/24, the pain started—it got worse and worse—so I booked an appointment and was able to get one on Sunday, 2/25/24! When I arrived, I could barely walk up the steps and through the door. Mikkel examined me and worked his magic; it’s been a long time since I’ve felt such pain—and such relief at the same time.
I walked in at a 7/8 on the pain scale and walked out at a 4/5! I’ve been doing my exercises, and today, March 1, 2024—I’m down to a 2/3. I don’t need painkillers—I’m sticking to my exercises. And I can feel it getting better and better every day!
Thank you so much.
I went to see Mikkel at Sportsværkstedet for treatment on Saturday, December 12. When I arrived, my pain level was around 6 (on a scale of 1–10).
After about 10–15 minutes, Mikkel had already cut the pain in half, and after another half hour, I was practically pain-free. I left Sportsværkstedet with some really good exercises that I was supposed to do 15 times a day for at least one month. The exercises only take 5–10 minutes to do, and they simply keep the pain at bay.
The day after my treatment with Mikkel, I grabbed my hiking poles, put my backpack on, and hiked 19.5 km (completely without back pain), doing my exercises twice along the way. On December 15, I went for a free follow-up session, where Mikkel and I had a good conversation while I did the exercises I’d learned from him. Since then, I’ve stuck to the exercise routine, though instead of doing 15 reps a day, I quickly scaled back to just 8–10 reps a day since I was no longer experiencing any pain. Today, a month later, I still do the exercises as needed (typically 3–5 times a day) and am virtually pain-free!
I highly recommend treatment at Sportsværktedet. The only risk in seeing Mikkel would be if he can’t relieve 50–70% of your pain—but in that case, the treatment costs 0.00 DKK. ☺️
Happy New Year from me! Best regards, Lars Bo from Fredericia
She was already feeling better after the first visit, and she’s now playing her beloved handball without experiencing lower back or buttock pain afterward.
This is all thanks to Sportsværkstedet. They’ve brought back the smile and high spirits of my handball-playing daughter.
Thank you so much, sweet Mikkel🙏
We’d like to give you our warmest recommendations.
Highly recommended!
I have to say, Mikkel “goes all out” and really goes the extra mile. After a little while, the pain eased up—but Mikkel thought it could get even better. He took another look and tried a lot of things, but unfortunately, the pain returned to the same level as when treatment began. Once again, it just needed one more shot, and I truly feel that he did everything in his power to help. I had to leave without everything he’d done having helped, but with a little tip on what I should do over the next week or so to see if there was any improvement. I paid ZERO kroner since he couldn’t do anything—and where else have you ever experienced that? So, to you, Mikkel: THANK YOU for everything you tried—I’m truly grateful, and you have my warmest recommendations 👍
It was such a positive experience being with you. You’re seen and heard for the person you are. You’re thorough, try different things, “tough” 😁😉, and—not least—wonderfully down-to-earth.
Just as you said, I could feel it again this morning. So I got started on the exercises, and they helped right away. So now it’s just a matter of sticking with your exercises, which your assistant trainer Kim makes sure of 🤣
A big thank you from both of us.
They weren’t able to get my knee under control right away, but Mikkel has provided fantastic service, advice, and follow-up, so I’m looking forward to going for a pain-free run soon :)
He also showed me how I could ensure the long-term effects of the treatment.
I now follow the instructions almost religiously, and I’m pain-free; friends and acquaintances can see the difference in my gait.
Mikkel is a firm but exceptionally pleasant man who knows his craft inside and out 😎
I invested in a single treatment with Mikkel last Saturday, and now, on the third day, I can look back on three days of increased joy in life and three nights of uninterrupted sleep.
My husband is especially happy about the latter, since the tingling in my legs and hips made me so restless that he often woke up because of my countless attempts to find a comfortable sleeping position.
If you’re tired of being in pain because it limits you, and you feel like you’ve tried EVERYTHING—except for Sportsværkstedet—you basically have everything to gain😃!
A great and reliable guy
Golden rule: remember to do your stretching exercises :)
You should expect a certain amount of “discomfort” (read: pain) during the healing process, but that’s precisely why Mikkel can help where other therapists can’t. And the pain I’m spared now is well worth all the pain I endured during treatment!
I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend Mikkel to everyone—even those who believe their pain is now chronic.
I subsequently took my 14-year-old daughter to see Mikkel for an acute ankle injury. Mikkel gave it his all, but had to admit that, at the moment, he couldn’t help with her ankle injury. Instead, he fixed her neck while we were there 😉
In over 15 years of seeing practitioners who haven’t been able to help me, I’ve never encountered one who wouldn’t accept payment for their time. I’ve always thought that was fair enough, since they’ve spent the time and done their best.
Mikkel refused to accept payment for the treatment because, after all, he hadn’t been able to help her with her ankle injury. This shows that Mikkel truly stands behind his “product,” and that you can therefore visit him with peace of mind for treatment. He’s always willing to try, but he doesn’t promise anything. On the other hand, as mentioned, it’s free if he can’t help you.
I’m a fan, and I think you should give it a try if you’re struggling with pain in your body.
You can do something no one else can, in your very own way.
I used to think it would probably never get any better—just live with the pain.
After just one visit to Sportværkstedet/Mikkel, most of the pain in my hamstrings and knees disappeared.
Now, with a little work at home, I’m 99% back to my old self. Yay!
I would definitely recommend Sportværkstedet—5 🌟 from me.
Erica
He then gave me some tips to follow going forward, so that the pain will be completely gone before long.
Today I ran 17.2 km with almost no pain. It’s a miracle.
Mikkel, you get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I could barely walk after 3 shifts in a row.🚶♀️
I finally worked up the courage to go to Kolding and get help.👍
It can hurt a little during treatment.😵
There are some mental habits (old habits) that need to be changed, and quite a few exercises.😉
But now, at least, I’ve noticed a difference and know where I need to improve.😍😍😍
There are already some coworkers who might stop by.😉
For the past 10–11 years, my mother has been suffering from daily pain in her shoulder and back, and it only got worse over time.
After her first visit—which was quite an experience—my mother was given some exercises to do at home that were easy to follow. In addition, Mikkel significantly reduced the pain in my mother’s lower back, which has been a huge help in her daily life.
For follow-up care, my mother was given a few extra exercises. All in all, she’s extremely satisfied with the treatment and thinks it was money well spent!
After two visits with the kind Mikkel and doing the exercises at home according to his instructions, my neck and shoulders are no longer stiff.
Thanks for that, Mikkel, even though you were a little tough on me.😁😂
But THANK YOU, Mikkel—I feel like a new person after our session today. Or maybe I’m just on my way back to how I was before I got injured. We’ll definitely see each other again. Best regards, Pia
I’ve been struggling with an arm problem, for which I’d been seeing a competing physical therapist who, after six sessions, had to tell me he couldn’t help.
I went to Sportsværkstedet, and Mikkel examined me and had to admit that he’d never encountered my problem either.
Mikkel tells it like it is: he can’t help me, and therefore won’t charge me anything for my 20-minute session!
It’s really great to find a physical therapist like Mikkel, who’s there to help you, is honest about what he can offer, and isn’t just out to make a quick buck—and thereby waste everyone’s time.
Definitely a place I’ll go back to if I have another type of injury.
So, Mikkel, thank you so much for your magical hands and great advice😉, as well as your wonderful personality and empathetic approach to people. 👍 You feel at ease right from the very first meeting. 😊
Warm recommendations from me 😊—which I’ll be passing on to others along the way. 🥰
Questions like “Is that better now?” are asked after almost every press, push, or stretch, and if there’s no change, he doesn’t stop until things are better—but Mikkel isn’t afraid to say if there’s something he doesn’t know or can’t fix.
There’s honesty and a genuine desire to help across the board.
I highly recommend Sportsværkstedet, even if you’re not particularly athletic but suffer from general aches and pains. And even if you’ve “always” been in pain and don’t think it’ll get better—Mikkel can relieve your pain with 90% certainty!
My own doctor gave me a splint and sent me home last year when I came in with a wrist that was completely useless.
Mikkel treated my muscles and gave me exercises to do on my own. Last year, my wrist felt like new when I left there!!
This time, my condition is probably a little worse (...when you don’t listen to your body!!), but the treatment has helped a lot—so now I just need to give my arm a few days off from any strain. And the exercises are great!!!
Thanks from a happy Rikke
My daughter has benefited greatly from the treatment, and the pain has subsided significantly, which means she now spontaneously feels like being active again.
Thank you, and we highly recommend him.
I had some small blood clots in my brain in 2010, and I got off relatively lightly compared to others who were hospitalized at the same time as me.
Aside from a lot of minor ailments that I have to live with, my headaches are the most bothersome for me, as they’re present 24/7 at varying intensities, ranging from 4 to 10.
My neck mobility is also reduced after having a titanium implant inserted into a cervical vertebra.
I’ve tried every kind of treatment—all the commonly known ones, as well as a few alternative approaches—and none of them have been able to give me greater mobility or reduce my pain.
Then my wife found Sportsværkstedet and had me try it that very same evening.
I didn’t have high expectations, but I was still hoping for a cure 😃
We arrived in the evening and were greeted by Mikkel, who gave us a firm handshake—which was already a positive sign.
Mikkel’s treatment room was very small, which meant he was constantly moving the treatment table around—something that can be a bit distracting when you have a severe headache, which that day was at a 9
Mikkel worked as hard as he could and tried to target all the areas he could reach, based on the anatomy of the body displayed on his small screen.
I could see the frustration spreading in Mikkel as the pain actually just shifted around or came back quickly if it had just subsided.
Mikkel didn’t just work for the 50 minutes he’d scheduled for the treatment—he actually worked for 90 minutes.
During those 90 minutes, he managed to reduce the pain to around a 4; the range of motion in my neck improved significantly—and still has—and my headache hasn’t gone above a 6 since.
Normally, I wake up with a headache rated at 8–10 several times during the night and in the morning.
I try to avoid taking pain medication as much as possible, but I can’t always avoid it. Since Mikkel treated me five days ago, I haven’t taken any pain medication, and my headache is mostly at a level of 4. 😃
When Mikkel says he really gets a grip, he’s absolutely right. My neck and throat were very tender to the touch for the first three days, and on my forearm and upper arm, you can clearly see the spots where he applied pressure. Four large blue, black, and greenish marks adorn my arm💪
I’m not someone who gets marks easily, but Mikkel certainly brought them out—I also think he squeezed as hard as he could, since I’m not exactly sensitive.
My only criticism of Mikkel’s demeanor is that, as someone with brain injuries, I have a hard time keeping up with his rapid stream of words about what he’s doing—mixed with cursing because things aren’t working out the way he wants—and the constant shuffling of the massage table. My brain injuries mean that I quickly become confused and can’t remember anything, and when things don’t proceed at a calm pace, my symptoms worsen, and I can’t really find the inner calm needed to receive the treatment 100%, which may have contributed to the pain simply shifting around or returning quickly.
Mikkel is incredibly kind and professional and does a great job, and I was happy to pay the fee, since, after all, I felt better when I left than when I arrived. I hope and dream that things can get even better with a little ongoing treatment—which I know isn’t what they usually do, but as we agreed, my situation isn’t “normal.” 😂
Fast and effective treatment! And with results I could feel right away! Awesome 👍🏻
Highly recommended! ☺️
But unfortunately, my back hasn't gotten any better since then. Of course, it could also be due to other factors :)
Get help getting started with loosening up. 10 out of 10
Best regards, Flemming
When I went there, they assessed and worked on my thigh, and I was given some exercises to do for it. After a while, I didn’t feel the exercises were making any difference, so I went back to Sportsværkstedet.
I went back there again, but this time to see a different therapist—Mikkel.
Mikkel worked on several areas of my body that were connected to my thigh.
After my treatment with Mikkel, I’ve been able to work out again—without any problems at all.
I was having problems with severe tenderness behind my shoulder blade and between my shoulder blade and spine—I’d had it for a very long time and tried many different things, but nothing helped.
It’s now been over 3 months, and I’ve felt virtually no pain since then.
The little ball I bought has become my new best friend, no matter where it hurts.
So I’d like to say thank you for the help—it’s the best 700 DKK I’ve ever spent.
I’m sorry to hear you’re no longer in the Aarhus area, though, but I hope you’ll come back someday!
I highly recommend stopping by to see Mikkel if you’re having any problems.
As for the treatment, I still think the therapist did a fantastic job—he put a lot of effort into it and was good at sensing and finding the right points; he was persistent and good at listening to how I was feeling. And it’s certainly not his fault that, unfortunately, it didn’t have much of an effect on me specifically.
I’d still like to give you a warm recommendation from here 👍
The days after, I was really sore, but the headache was gone. I kept doing the exercises to prevent it from “setting in” again. By Monday, I was back with the same tension headache. I used the ball to no avail and had to resort to Voltaren and painkillers. The headache has persisted for the last few days, and once again my neck and shoulders are sore. Fortunately, the stiffness in my neck is gone, but I’m now left wondering whether “enough” was released on Friday.
I don’t know if it’s because it requires more treatments or if something went wrong, but aside from this experience, I’ve been completely satisfied with Sportsværkstedet and would still recommend it to friends and acquaintances, since the service is top-notch, and the first time I visited, I received clear instructions on what needed to be done and received proper treatment.
The problem with my arm stems from an old sports injury, and it’s now very hypermobile. I’ve undergone many different tests at the hospital without getting any specific answers as to why I have so much pain in my arm.
But after a visit with Mikkel in Aarhus, I finally got some clarity on the state of my arm. And after just one treatment, I was able to walk out of there with significantly less pain in my arm, along with some exercises and stretches I need to do.
I probably won’t ever be completely free of the pain, but now I can manage it without having to rely on painkillers, so I’m more than satisfied.
But I think I’ll need one more treatment with Mikkel in the near future.
P.S. He’d never had a case like this with his back before. So, Mikkel, we’ll have to try again so you can have success with this one, too. Thanks
While the nice guy (sorry, but I’m really bad with names) was working on my muscles and such, I was in agony and felt almost nauseous from the pain. But I knew full well that my body needed it.
I’m absolutely thrilled with what I’m now capable of.
And I do the daily exercises with joy (and sweat), even though my whole body is shaking and I’m pushed to the limit. But I’m making progress, and that’s what matters… my body will probably get used to being active again over time.
I’d recommend Sportsværkstedet to EVERYONE in the whole world.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you
And after about 8 runs and switching to different running shoes, I just had to do something.
My right Achilles tendon was swollen and hurt like h...ell.
I could barely walk, and stairs were a nightmare—especially since I live on the third floor without an elevator.
I got an appointment at Sportsværkstedet on June 5, and Rasmus was the one who was going to try to help me.
Rasmus asked what had happened and then examined my foot.
He didn’t promise miracles, since an inflamed tendon can’t be cured with pressure alone. But he thoroughly massaged my Achilles tendon and calf. And he told me I wasn’t allowed to run for an unspecified period of time.
Then he showed me how to massage my Achilles tendon myself.
I could walk more or less normally when I left the store, and for the rest of the day I massaged it many times.
The next day, I had “forgotten” that I wasn’t supposed to run, so I went for a short, easy jog, and with breaks for massage along the way, it went really well.
Now, 10 days later, I’m back in full swing. I feel a little something in my Achilles tendon now and then, but with massage, it’s going fine.
So, one tiny tip made a huge difference, and the rainbow appeared.
Thanks, Rasmus—you’re my Achilles hero :-)
I’m not in as much pain anymore and feel more at ease now that I know it’s just my muscles that are tense and not my neck falling apart. Mikkel really helped loosen up my muscles, and the headaches are gone.
I saw Rasmus on Wednesday, April 25, and he massaged my lower back and upper back—it was truly worth every penny.
As someone who runs between 8 and 15 km every day, I occasionally suffer from overuse injuries; most recently, it was my right glute that started acting up with painful twinges. After a treatment at @sportsværstedet, I was out running 11 km the very next day without any pain
Such an awesome place and top-notch treatment—I have nothing but praise for them
I used to have problems with lower back pain, but after the treatment, all that’s left is a little soreness.
Thank you so much for your help—it was a pleasure!
Laura experienced a lot of tenderness in her elbow during the first few days but couldn’t say whether it felt any different than before.....
Since I was starting a new job today, I was so happy to be able to get treatment so quickly.
I was treated for back and lower back pain, and I have to say that Mikkel really knew how to apply pressure—I needed to take some very deep breaths. I felt safe throughout the entire process; Mikkel seemed to have everything under control, even though it hurt like HELL at times during the treatment—we also laughed a lot. Mikkel, your good humor is contagious!
After an effective treatment, I was given instructions on what I could do on my own afterward.
I have to say I felt a little beat up after yesterday’s treatment and also here today throughout the day. But now, a little over a day later, my back feels much more relaxed and the soreness is starting to fade. It feels so good. Thank you for the quick and effective treatment. I’ll definitely be back. Best regards, Jane Johansen
Many would probably say it’s unbelievable to give 5 stars after just one visit. After all, how often is one treatment enough? Well, my girlfriend and I can tell you that sometimes just ONE treatment can be more than enough.
We stopped by the sports clinic on Monday, where they were going to try to relieve the pain in my neck and shoulder. Mikkel applied pressure exactly where it was needed, but unfortunately couldn’t “cure” me, since I needed to see a physical therapist and do some rehab. They were COMPLETELY HONEST and recommended a physical therapist near where I live so I wouldn’t have to make the long drive to Kolding—though their treatment and honesty are something I’ve really appreciated.
My boyfriend went to see Mikkel right after me, and once again, Mikkel pinpointed exactly what was wrong and fixed his back, so he’s no longer complaining like he used to. Mikkel also recommended what else to do, in addition to his treatment and the exercises he prescribed.
Best regards, Tommy
I was at your place yesterday and felt strange.
But after you worked on me, one side of my back isn’t as stiff, and that tingling sensation is almost gone.
I can pull the handbrake without tensing my abs.
I can carry grocery bags
Without it hurting much.
I can pick up and put things in the shopping cart without much pain.
I was able to turn around from my chair and over to my bookshelf to grab something without much pain.
So I’m super happy.
I tried the balls today, but it didn’t work out.
It hurt like crazy, so I’ll try again tomorrow.
The pain in my hip is still there, but my pain isn’t nearly as bad anymore, so thank you so much—I’m so happy; this is just awesome.
Best regards,
Annmari Rasmussen
After getting on the table and going through a good dose of torture, there was a marked improvement.
When I arrived, I couldn’t bend forward at all. By the time I left, I could reach my knees, and a couple of hours later, my ankles.
Now, two days later, I’m back in top form. I can still feel that my back muscles were pushed to their limits, but otherwise my back is as good as new.
The next time my body acts up, I won’t hesitate to book an appointment at Sportsværkstedet—you guys are simply brilliant.
For quite some time (2–2.5 years), I’ve had back/lower back pain. After spending many hours and a lot of money on physical therapy, I figured I had to try something new. And it was a great choice!
Now I haven’t had any major back pain—for almost a week.
I still have a little bit of discomfort in my lower back, though—nothing compared to before.
I also learned how to stretch properly and was advised that I should probably start looking for a chiropractor.
Mikkel is super friendly and chats with you and asks how you’re doing throughout the session—I had a really nice time and felt like I was in good hands.
Mikkel really worked on it; yeah, it had to hurt a little to feel better. I can now turn and lift my head again, and my shoulders are back in place. Now I’ll have to see how sore I am tomorrow—but it doesn’t matter, because the other treatment was unbearable. High praise from me.
I’ve had my neck and shoulders worked out… two sessions with Rune, who’s a really nice guy. I got professional treatment and had a good chat about entrepreneurship and back pain 😊 Thanks to Rune for the great treatment 👍 By the way, the long hours are awesome—that’s really something that comes in handy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I think Rune welcomed me warmly, was a good listener, and did a commendable job with acupressure, which, unfortunately, didn’t help much.
I later messaged Mikkel to let him know that I didn’t think acupressure was the right treatment for me. Mikkel mentioned that he’s a massage therapist and offered me a follow-up massage. I accept his offer.
When I arrive at Mikkel’s office, he notices that the problem likely also stems from tension in my lower back, which he then treats as well. That’s great. However, like Rune, he chooses to perform acupressure on my neck, even though that wasn’t part of the agreement. During the treatment, Mikkel asks quite a few questions, but at the same time thinks I’m talking so much that I seem stressed when I answer. The treatment takes place with the door open, and at one point Mikkel talks to someone else with his head sticking out the door, while continuing to treat me. That’s definitely not my style, and it certainly doesn’t help me relax during the session.
Mikkel is very pushy/persuasive while I’m there—more so than I’m comfortable with—because afterward, I didn’t get a chance to speak up. It’s great that he believes in his expertise, but in my opinion, it’s also really important to make room to listen to the patient.
Right after the session, I have better range of motion, which is great. He also gives me good advice on stretching going forward, and that’s helpful too.
However, a little later I start feeling really terrible—the treatment was too intense, and I feel awful with nausea, dizziness, and a lot of pain for the rest of the day and, to some extent, the next day as well. And I definitely think this is related to the fact that it ended up being primarily acupressure rather than the agreed-upon massage treatment.
Since I have a long history of joint pain and Sportsværkstedet isn’t aware of this—and given the negative experiences mentioned above—I won’t be returning, and I won’t recommend the place to others.
However, I can see how others might benefit from going to a place where they aren’t afraid to get hands-on and try something different from traditional physical therapists. And even though it’s not my style, they’re a nice bunch of guys who want to do a good job and make a difference.
I hope you’ll take my feedback as constructive criticism and also see the praise.
And good luck with your business in the future!
Best regards, Karina
I thought, “This sounds almost too good to be true,” but for 300 kr, I figured I’d give it a shot.
I was warmly welcomed by Rune, who asked about my problem and, based on that, assessed that he could help me—and he certainly could… One treatment session, and afterward I was completely pain-free—it was so liberating, and I thought, “Great, but let’s see how long it lasts…” Now, six days later, I’m still pain-free and haven’t felt a thing in my lower back. A huge thank you to Sports Værkstedet and Rune, and my deepest respect for your treatment and your honesty...
Three years ago, I had surgery for a lipoma on my shoulder blade. During the procedure, they made an incision in my muscle all the way up to my neck, and since then I’ve been suffering from swelling, headaches/migraines, tension, and—for the past two months—back pain.
I’ve been to physical therapy, a chiropractor, and acupuncture, and I’ve tried painkillers. Nothing has helped.
After a visit with Mikkel, I felt relief in my back and slept for 5.5 hours straight (that hasn’t happened in a long time) And it was seriously much-needed
I also noticed that my swelling (which has been constant and hard as a rock for almost 3 years) has become softer.
I’m happy to drive from Herning every week because this actually works And I highly recommend Sportsværkstedet—you guys are awesome
Today I stopped by Sportsværkstedet and had a JUBII treatment—now I’m pain-free and my arm can move freely again
So if you’re in pain, just head over to Sportsværkstedet
Mikkel helped loosen up a lot of tension, and I had no pain when I left compared to when I arrived....
It’ll probably take one more session on the table to loosen up the last bit, though...
But it’s definitely worth it
After treatment on my shoulder and elbow, I’m practically pain-free.
It’s unbelievable what a 20-minute treatment can do.
I highly recommend them... Give it a try!!!
My daughter has been struggling with her back and lower back, and we were able to drive home without her wincing every time we hit a bump in the road. So we saw a clear improvement here too, but she’ll probably come back to get things loosened up some more.
Thank you both.
It only took two treatments, and now I'm back in the game.
It was absolutely fantastic—I could barely walk, stand, or lie down when I got there; even my dad was speechless when I walked out of there.
This isn't the last time, I tell you.
Mikkel is a skilled and friendly massage therapist who really knows his stuff; he constantly checks in to see if it’s too painful. A really great place that won’t break the bank. A good spot with reasonable prices. Highly recommended...
I almost never feel anything the day after I’ve been to a massage therapist, but with Mikkel, I felt a noticeable difference. So if you’re struggling with a sore shoulder or a calf that cramps up, just go ahead and book an appointment at Sportsværksted.
Mikkel knows exactly where to apply pressure; I left
feeling relieved because the soreness had already subsided
BEFORE ORDERING A REPAIR
Sportsvaerksted uses a unique and highly effective method—it’s a bit rough—no fuss, long conversations, or wasted time here—and requires you to make an active effort on your own at home, as well as two visits to us: a Repair session lasting about 60 minutes and, 2–3 days later, a Checkup lasting 10–20 minutes, although we can schedule additional visits if needed.
You will certainly notice a huge difference—70–100% better if everything goes as planned, although 50–60% is acceptable in some cases—at the Repair session, and we should be able to reinforce that at the Checkup. In a few cases, such as with some shoulders or hands, the significant improvement takes a week of you doing the exercises at home.
To ensure a good result, however, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you follow our instructions correctly and make a consistent and thorough effort on your own—even in the weeks and months that follow—and that you attend the checkup(s) 3 days after the repair. (2–4 days for VIP, see below)
You may experience extreme soreness for a day; some clients get bruises. This is natural, not dangerous, and can be minimized if you follow our instructions—JUST AS OFTEN AND THOROUGHLY as we instructed.
Watch our many films (the newest ones have subtitles)and read the many Facebook reviews so you know what you're getting into.
Your husband or wife, friend, or children of all ages are welcome to attend—we’re used to it all.
You keep your clothes on, and we can fix you anywhere—we’ve fixed people at parties, in offices, on a crowded street, in a riding arena, in a closet(!), in all kinds of private homes, and many other places.
Make sure you are experiencing the problem THOROUGHLY / feel the pain CLEARLY, or can EASILY reproduce it when we meet. If you are taking painkillers, take a short break from them.
If you feel almost no pain during the treatment, there’s nothing for us to do, and we’ll go home.
If we can significantly reduce your symptoms during the Repair and teach you how to perform the same treatment on yourself at home and in your daily life, AND if we can reduce them even further at your follow-up appointment, then we’ve done our job, and it’s YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY to keep them at bay in the future! (You’re welcome to contact us again, but we’d have to start all over.)
You should read the Terms (click here) before contacting us to ensure a smooth experience for both you and us.
VIP - We Come to You
..as soon as possible, regardless of where and when—but it is EXTREMELY expensive; even in Denmark, it can cost up to 3,300 euros / 25,000 DKK (to Copenhagen for one person, for example; a bit more for several people)
This covers travel and my availability for 3–4 days.
The first part of the payment—typically 20–33%—is paid in advance, after which we send our “repair technician” out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE—maybe 1 hour later, maybe 4 or 10 hours later.
You are only allowed to pay the second installment if you notice a significant improvement—typically a 50–70% reduction in pain—before our “repairist” returns home. (*) VIP includes one or more follow-up visits 2–4 days after the repair.
Email us, mention that it’s regarding VIP, and we’ll call you to ask about your situation and explain the details—we’ll only come if there’s a chance we can help you, so we don’t waste your money.
VIP is intended for those who, despite everything, find it easy to pay for extra services.
